The effect of environmental factors on the growth of a natural pasture. Agric. Meteorol., 15: 231--244.
In order to study the dependence of growth curves of a natural pasture on environmental factors, logistic equations in which the growth rate R is a function of soil moisture or temperature are used. The parameters that appear are optimized by a nonlinear least-squares technique. Soil moisture is an important variable. Temperature alone is of no predictive value, but temperature in conjunction with soil moisture is of marginal importance. The results are quite insensitive to the different measures of soil moisture and temperature considered. The fit to the data when R is a function of both soil moisture and temperature is still not fully satisfactory.

## Abstract This paper explores a relatively new methodology, the directional distance function method, to analyse productivity growth. The method allows us to explicitly evaluate the role that undesirable outputs of the economy, such as carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, have on the fronti
Environmental expenditure estimates resulting from US environmental policy are based on current technology which may overstate policy's true costs. Existing evidence shows that ex ante cost estimates are greater than realized costs due to unexpected technological progress. This research programme as
The palatability characteristics of carcasses of lambs grazed on either pure perennial ryegrass or piire lucerne were studied in three experiments. Consumer preferences were ascertained in two experiments with untrained members of the public who scored the meat for flavour, tenderness and juiciness.
