Ci-free single erystal and polycrystalline samples of \(\mathrm{Pb}_{2} \mathrm{Sr}_{2} \mathrm{RCu}_{3} \mathrm{O}_{k}\) have been prepared by a \(\mathrm{PbO} / \mathrm{NaCl}\) flux growth method and a fast solid state reaction, respectively. The electronic character of the single crystals of this
