β¦ Synopsis
A theoretical.analysis is presented of the effect of an elastic foundation and various damping forces on the stability of a fluid-conveying pipe. Both a cantilevered pipe and a pipe fixed at both ends are considered. The results of extensive numerical calculations are presented in the form of diagrams. Some known results are confirmed and some new ones obtained.
