✦ Synopsis

This paper deals with the nonlinear vibrations of a two hinged beam-column subjected to a harmonic forcing function of any space distribution. Vibration in the fundamental mode is investigated and regions of dynamic instability are found. The perturbation solution used is suitable for both strong and weak nonlinear systems.
