We discuss the conductance data of superconducting single crystal Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox obtained with a scanning tunneling microscope in the vacuum tunneling mode. For this purpose, we introduce and apply a method involving filtering techniques to study the structure of the order parameter. We find that the
