Abstract

Dielectric constants at 1.8 MHz of the propyleneglycol‐water system are determined from 15 to 50°C at 5° intervals. The dielectric behaviour of the system is discussed in terms of a deviation from a linear function of the volume fraction of the components. Comparison with the monohydric alcohols and ethyleneglycol reveals the importance of the apolar/polar group ratio in the intermolecular interactions.
