✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The paper reviews the work on cavity quantum electrodynamics performed in our laboratory using the one‐atom maser and the single ion trap laser. Furthermore a brief survey on other cavity quantum electrodynamic experiments using single atoms is given in order to show the large variety of problems which can be investigated with this kind of systems.

Recently, Yeo and Chua introduced a genuine four-qubit entangled state jvi which can implement perfect teleportation of an arbitrary two-qubit state [Y. Yeo, W.K. Chua, Phys. Rev. ## Abstract This paper reviews the quasi‐phase‐matched (QPM) waveguide nonlinear‐optic device technologies for generation of quantum‐entangled twin photons indispensable for quantum‐information techniques. After a brief introduction to the concept of entanglement, quantum theory analysis of twin‐ph
