β¦ Synopsis
The defect structure of the anion-excess fluorite Ca,_,Y,F,+, with x = 0.06 has been investigated by single crystal neutron diffraction. Analysis of both Bragg and coherent diffuse scattering data indicate that the charge compensating excess anions are incorporated into the lattice in the form of cuboctahedral defect clusters.
