The hydrogen peroxide decomposition kinetics were investigated for both "free" iron catalyst [Fe(II) and Fe(III)] and complexed iron catalyst [Fe(II) and Fe(III)] complexed with DTPA, EDTA, EGTA, and NTA as ligands (L). A kinetic model for free iron catalyst was derived assuming the formation of a r

β¦ Synopsis
The rate of reaction of (Fe(DTPA)) with Hz02 was investigated at various temperatures. The observed rate law is given by the expression.
The rate constants and the related thermodynamic parameters are calculated. Substitution controlled mechanisms are suggested to account for the formation of the violet peroxy intermediate. The results are compared with previously data for Fe EDTA complex.
Experimental
Diethylenetriaminepentaaceticacid (DTPA), Ferric chloride, and hydrogen peroxide were B.D.H., Analar grade.

## Abstract The kinetics of the oxidation of iodide by hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by acidic molybdate have been studied by a spectrophotometric stoppedβflow method. The results are interpreted in terms of the mechanism equation image and the implied rate law where [mol] is total analytical conc
The kinetics of the H202 decomposition in presence of Fe(II1)-and Cr(II1)-complexes of mono-, di-, and triethanolamine supported on Dowex-BOW resin have been investigated. The decomposition process proceeded with first-order kinetics for the substrate concentration. The rate of reaction increased wi
