β¦ Synopsis
Bohr that he has experimentally determined a half life of 6 x 10 -s sec for the 0+ --> 0+ transition in 9OZr. This half life is in fairly good agreement with the preliminary value 7.3 x 10 -s see determined by Day 21), but is in fairly serious disagreement with the value of De u t sc h 2o). The experimentally determined half life therefore appem:s to be longer by a factor of 30-50 than one calculates. Such a serious disagreement may result from the different polarizing effects of go/2 particles aud Pl12 particles on the core of the nucleus.

Measurements have been performed on the radiations of 9Β°Nb with a double focusing spectrometer and with a scintillation spectrometer. The positon spectrum consists of three partial spectra with maximum energies of 1.500, 0.865 and 0.55 MeV. Seven z-transitions have been deduced from the conversion e
