It would have been easy to overlook until he met the girl he had been dreaming of for months. She was real, a living, breathing person, and he had to have her. Then she is taken from him again and he is forced to realize the truth of his destiny. Life and death reside in his hands and it is up to him to decide who will live and die.
Born in Kent, England in 1974, I have always been in love with the landscape and nature and, since I was a teenager, always harboured a secret desire to be a writer (although my professional career has spanned spells in finance, environmental campaigning and professional photography!). I began writing 'The Dark Rider' at the age of 14, the first scenes coming out in one go in the half light of a long summers evening. These are scenes which, with a little editing in the intervening period, still make up the bulk of Chapter One. However, the rest took a little bit more time and it was only a couple of years ago when I realised that, if I didn't actually sit down and write the book, it would not happen. 'The Dark Rider' is the result.
