This also follows directly from the "proof" of the "Curie principle" (in the more restricted definition used, e.g., by FITTS, p. 35) for isotropic systems, if one bears in mind that all phenomena of interest here occur in real space, which is isotropic by the criteria of ordinary physical theory.
