β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Lewisite I, containing a small proportion of Lewisite II, is readily obtained in good yield by passing acetylene into a vigorously stirred mixture of arsenious chloride in carbon tetrachloride and a concentrated solution of cuprous chloride in aqueous ethanolamine hydrochloride. The reaction is most conveniently carried out continuously.
