✦ Synopsis

The crystal structures of the title compounds were determined by single crystal X-ray methods, they are isotypic with natrochalcite, NaCu2(OH)(S04)2 • H20; space group Cljm (Z = 2). A comparison with other natrochalcite-type compounds is given, pointing out the variability of this structure type. X-ray measurements on a natural sample of natrochalcite excellently agree with the data for synthetic NaCu2(OH)(S04)2 • H20.
