When the free surface of liquid flowing downward through a porous medium comes into the medium, the liquid flow is made difficult due to a capillary pressure that arises at the meniscus. Practically, such a capillary pressure should become important when the top surface of a riser in ingots and cast

β¦ Synopsis
Bingham flow in a porous medium is considered. This can he modelled by a random structure whose dimensions are large compared with the local scale. The principal term of the asymptotic form of the critical pressure at which the liquid starts to move in this limit is computed explicitly.

Darcy's equations model the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a rigid porous medium. One of the parameters of the system depends on the permeability of the medium and, when this medium is not homogeneous, the variations of the parameter could be very high. To handle this phenomenon, we propo
