✦ Synopsis
We attempted structural analysis of Thin-walled curved members with closed hat section under compression load by finite element model. We found that member reinforcement and member materials have an effect on member energy absorption characteristics.
We also integrate the relation between the mass of members and the amount of energy absorption. As a result of this analysis, we produced a finite element model, which realizes the optimal spring in Part III. We thus demonstrated the optimal solution which was proposed in Part III.
