## Abstract Galvanic anodic protection (GAP) of stainless steels by doped polypyrrole (PPy) was investigated using chemically synthesized PPy. Separate PPy powder‐pressed electrodes with different surface areas were prepared. Electrochemical properties of PPy electrodes were studied by open circuit
