The preparation and properties of the non-charged manganese(H) compounds of formula [Mn(N4 &and)], in which (N&gand) is any one of twelve linear quadridentate nitrogeneous ligands derived from the interaction of adiketones and 2-pyridylhydrazones, are described. The structures of the compounds have
