β¦ Synopsis
Living free-radical copolymers, prepared by reaction of hexattuoropropylene with an excess of perfluoro-2,5-diazahexane 2,5-dioxyl, catalyse the reaction 4 RFNO~2 RFNO 2 + RFN~NR F (R F = CF 3 or n-C3FT) at room temperature. Reaction of trifluoronitrosomethane at 70 Β° also gives these products together with smaller quantities of perttuoro-(N-methylenemethylamine), before the catalyst is deactivated. Mechanisms for these reactions are suggested.

A systematic quantitative method for the selection of models for the highconversion free radical polymerization exhibiting gel and glass effects has been developed. Four representative models were selected from the literature and were compared on the basis of the same experimental data. All models d
