We examine the vibrational line-shape of an anharmonic, one-dimensional model of Co in argon_ The width thw~ obtained is too small and is linearly dependent on temperature below 2C!K. The lattice-induced shift has the wrong sign-and temperature dependence_ We conclude that hbrations must he important.
