โœฆ Synopsis

The physical basis upon which the continuous countercurrent moving bed chromatographic reactor is able to shift chemical equilibrium to favor a reaction product, and to give the product in a highly purified state, is discussed. Preliminary experimental results for the hydrogenation of 1,3,5trimethyl benzene are given. The design and construction of an improved countercurrent moving bed reactor is presented.
