β¦ Synopsis
An analytical solution of a one-dimensional transient heat conduction problem for a tribosystem consisting of a semi-space sliding on a surface of a strip deposited on a semi-infinite foundation, is obtained. It is assumed, that the thermal contact of a strip and top semi-space is imperfect. Sliding with a constant speed or linearly decreasing with time (as at braking) is considered. Influence of Biot number, describing thermal conductivity of contact, on the temperature of a system component is studied.
