✦ Synopsis
Guy-Olivier Segond became Mayor of the City of Geneva in June, 1983. Born in Geneva in 1945, he pursued his secondary education in Geneva, after which his university studies took him to London, New York and Dallas, as well as back to Geneva. Lawyer, journalist and politician, he has been Editor-in-Chief of the weekly, Le Genevois. He also served as Assistant to the Dean of the Law Faculty of the University of Geneva and Legal Adviser of the Geneva Department of Education for ten years.
