It is shown that di!;tortions in SrzTiO4-artd Sr~Ti~07-like structures can be predicted from PauEng's electrostatic valence principle. It is discussed in how tir these distortions can be observed spectroscopically.

The so-called H phase in the system Li 2 O+TiO 2 was prepared from niobia-doped R-Li 2 Ti 3 O 7 (ramsdellite form) by reheating the quenched metastable R phase to 1000 K. The phase was characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X-ray di4raction (XRD), and powder neutron di4ra
The crystal structure of the Mo-stabilized Sr-based superconductor with nominal composition \(\mathrm{YSr}_{2} \mathrm{Cu}_{2.7} \mathrm{Mo}_{0.3} \mathrm{O}_{7-\delta}\) has been analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), electron diffraction, and high-resolution electron microscope techniques. Th
