✦ Synopsis

Ben Goertzel holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Temple University and has held university faculty positions in mathematics, computer science, and psychology in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. Currently, he is a professor of computer science at the Staten Island campus of CUNY, and is president and chief scientist of an Internet startup company, IntelliGenesis Corp., which focuses on Java-based intelligent knowledge management software. He is author of numerous research papers, a biography of Linus Pauling, and four scholarly books dealing with topics in the cognitive sciences.
