✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The authors have studied the structures of D.C. and A.C. layers prepared by the direct colouring anodic oxidation process, using horizontal decomposition perpendicular to the plane of the layer and vertical analysis of the layer cross‐section. This combined approach has enabled them to define the areas of application of each method of study and to interpret the results of the various oxidizing procedures more correctly.

A double immunocytochemical method combining the preembedding avidin biotin peroxidase complex technique and the postembedding immunogold technique was used to examine synaptic interactions between GABAergic and nitric oxide synthase containing neurons in the same tissue sections of the dorsal raphe
