✦ Synopsis
An oscillation with a period around 5.5 years is identified as being common to the geomagnetic field, the Earth's rotation, and solar activity variations. The large extrema of the crosscorrelation functions and their oscillatory character are considered to be indicators of a physical relation between geophysical and solar phenomena.

In this paper, applying Vondrak band filter to both series of (1.o.d.) and sunspot relative number (R), we obtain variations of amplitude of 11 yr term during 1800-1985. The results show that solar cyclic signal in (1.o.d.) series is weak and unstable. The amplitude of 11 yr term in R series has lon
## Abstract A study of the cyclic fluctuations in the earth's rotation, the geomagnetic field, the global atmospheric circulation and solar activity reveals the existence of 50‐day and 120‐day oscillations common to all. Our results, as well as the results obtained by radiometric measurements from
