✦ Synopsis
The collision-induced rotational band of Cl14 has been measured at 195 K from ~30 to 900 cm-'. These results have been analyzed with a quantum-mechJnin1 lineshape ~~hich sho\s that this spectrum can be understood on the basis of octupolc-and he\adecapole-induced dipoles. Iiowever, this analysis has revealed the role of bound and predissociating dimers in the spectrum.
