β¦ Synopsis
The frequency and velocity of disturbance waves in two phase annular flow have hecn measured and correlated as functions of the Row rates. The velocities of individual waves were found to be normally distributed about the mean with a standard deviation that was independent of the mean velocity. The rate of change of wave frequency with distance-along the tube was predicted from the velocity distribution and was found to agree with experiment. Some evidence was found for preferred wave separations at large distances from the injector. DESCRIPTION OF THE MAIN .Af'f'AK.ATL'S

## Abstract The structure of gasβliquid twoβphase flow is investigated in order to establish a reliable criterion for the development of disturbance waves and droplets considering the effects of liquid viscosity. The structure of the gasβliquid interface and the flow rate of droplets entrained in g
