The phase diagrams (transition pressures and collapse pressures as a fraction of temperatures) were obtained for myristic acid, methylpalmitate, ethylpalmitate and rnethylmyristate. Transitions in the monolayer and in the collapsed phase are indicated by kinks in the collapse pressure/temperature curves. The heats of transition were calculated and also the heats of melting for methylpalmitate and ethylpalmitate. The values obtained in this way are in agreement with those obtained by calorimetry.
