Each section has its own extensive bibliography of predominantly English-language papers. There are eight of these lists, of which six contain exactly fifty publications each. I wonder why? At nearly 400 French francs per copy (about Β£40.00 sterling or US $60.00 at current rates) the book is not cheap but any forensic science laboratory should find it worthwhile to have a copy on its library shelves.
To finish on the philosophical note so favoured by the author:
The forensic sciences seek to differentiate one element from similar elements and to show in what respect it is unique, in contrast to the diverse sciences which aim to place one object amongst similar objects without consideration of its individuality.
