Oechalia, the only pentatomid genus endemic to the Hawaiian isl,ands, comprises fourteen species distributed variously on the five main islands of the Hawaiian chain, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and Hawaii. The first step in the cytological analysis of this group was carried out on two of the five species found on Oahu, namely 0. pacifica and 0. patruelis. 0. grisea, the subject of this study, is the third Oahu species to be analysed.
