The massic heat capacity cp = (1h/1T)p of 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane (refrigerant R134a) was measured at 18 temperatures from 253 K to 523 K at pressures between 40 kPa and 30 MPa. The Joule-Thomson coefficient mJT = (1T/1p)h of this substance was measured at six temperatures from 333 K to 423 K at p

✦ Synopsis
The @ band of the CH3 3p, 'AZ +g 2Az Rydberg transition has been recorded using the (2 + 1) resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) of CH, at 333 nm. CHS was generated in a discharge flow reactor at room temperature and in a hotfilament-assisted chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD ) reactor at temperatures of 820 to 1700 K. By means of spectral simulation the rotational constants, B& and G,, and the rotational state-dependent predissociation rates of the 3p,*Az state were determined. Based on these constants and the well-known rotational and vibrational ground-state constants, relative intensities of the CHI REMPI spectra were calculated for temperatures up to 2300 K. These spectra were used to evaluate relative CHr concentrations from measured REMPI peak intensities of the dominant Q branch.
