## Abstract The effect of methanol crossover on the fuel utilization of a passive direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) was reported. The results revealed that the Faradaic efficiency decreased from 46.9 to 17.4% when methanol concentration increased from 1.0 to 8.0 mol L^–1^ at the lower current densit
