โฆ Synopsis
In the 1920s, Thomas Watson crossed the Atlantic and landed in Philadelphia looking for work as a journalist. Soon after Thomas left England, Sherlock Holmes died, and Dr. Watson, Thomas's father, began caring for Mycroft Holmes. Two years later, Dr. Watson also died, and, grieving for his father, Thomas wondered who would care for Mycroft. Walking home one night, Thomas is near when an explosion in a speakeasy kills the owner and his card-playing pals. This is the break that could put Thomas's byline on the front page, so he rushes home to write the story, and there discovers Mycroft, puttering around his apartment, ready to move in. Thomas makes a bet with another reporter that he will solve the mystery first, but is hampered by his editor who wants him to drop the dead-end story. Then Thomas is "escorted" to a meeting with BooBoo Hoff and his goons, who also want to find the killer. Mycroft solves the mystery but won't share the solution.

I was four and half years old and living in Halifax with my seven siblings the day my city was devastated by an exploding ship in the harbour. It threw me to the floor as our windows collapsed. In the days, weeks, months and years that followed, this vivid, terrifying moment and the stories of alter
