โฆ Synopsis
To measure the moisture distribution during capillary suction nondestructively and with high local resolution a method has been developed using microwaves. The penetration depth of water was found not to obey a "if-function. This can be explained by a non-Newtonian viscosity of the porewater. Corresponding equations are derived and the significance according to chloride penetration by convection is discussed.
