โœฆ Synopsis


The present fresh water supply in the South of Iran is fully committed, and the demands of the two 1200 MWe Nuclear Power Plants complex at Bushehr makes the construction and operation of 2 x 100,000 m3/d desalination plants feasible.

The procedure for inviting tenders together with a description of the proposed plant is given here. The method of coupling the desalination units to the Nuclear Power Plants and provision of safety features are discussed. The paper concludes with a cost analysis of the whole project_
