✦ Synopsis
AA cystic formatioil located between the skin of the breast and the crest of the stemurn of chickens and turkeys has become apparent within the past 15 years (fig. 1). This formation varies greatly iii size, form, and frequency. It occurs more often in cockerels than in pullets and is more common in males of the heavier breeds (i.e., Barred Rocks and New Hampshires). I 1 1 addition, there is an annual variation in thc f requeiicg of occiirrence. An important factor, also, is the relationship between the age of the bird, the appearance of the cyst, and then, later, its involution.
