My heart started aching from the second I read the blurb for this book and is still aching long after I have finished it. I read this book with tears in my eyes the entire time and let them fall when I got to the end. I felt every bit of the utter devastation that these characters felt, and this book will be on my mind for a long time to come. This is the first book by Tonya Brooks that I have read, but I guarantee it won't be my last. I am going to have to wait a day or so to even be able to start another book because I have to get over this one, and when an author can do that to me, I would be a fool not to read more of her work.
