## Abstract This paper investigates the feasibility of a monetary union in Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) by looking at evidence of nominal exchange rate and inflation convergence. Using a methodology based on estimating timeโ€varying parameters, the evidence suggests nonโ€convergence.
