We report on measurements of the room temperature reflectivity between 0.03 and 12.4 eV and of the magneto-optical polar Kerr rotation in the energy range between 0.6 and 5.3 eV at 1.35 K in a magnetic field of 10 T on single crystals of CeSe. Although the magnetic moment amounts only to 0.376/,B/Ce
