We report measurements of the damping of second sound for concentrations of 0.1, 0.05, 0.01 and 0.001% 3He in 4He. These measurements were performed in the temperature range O.lK to 1K and in the frequency range 1kHz to 6kHz.

## Synopsis Measurements have been made of the attenuation of first sound in mixtures of 4He and 8He for differeht 8He concentrations (11, 3, 1 and 0.5%) and at temperatures between 0.88°K and the 2-point. In the neighbourhood of 1.0°K the attenuation is diminished greatly by the addition of 8He.
