โฆ Synopsis
"The Archers" is the first novel of an action packed saga in medieval England during the days of King Richard and the crusades. In this first novel of saga the survivors of a company of English archers attempt to fight their way back to feudal England from the failing Third Crusade. Not all of them return as a result of intense fighting, treacherous churchmen, and slave taking Islamic pirates. But some of the former serfs and sailors do return - as battle hardened veterans determined to improve their lot in cruel and brutal England. "The Archer's Castle" is the second novel in the saga. William, his brother Thomas, and William's son George finally reach feudal England with the surviving archers and become embroiled in a war with the Earl of Cornwall that may or may not change England forever. "The Archer's Return" is the third novel in this great saga. William leaves his son George and his brother Thomas in England and returns to the Holy Land with a large company of newly recruited archers - to earn coins for his family and men by helping Christian and Jewish refugees escape from the victorious Saracens. The action packed and reality grounded saga continues in subsequent novels as William and the former serfs and free men of the Company of archers begin to build one of the world's most fearsome fighting forces. They become the first Marines in a desperate effort to improve their lot in a crude, brutal and unforgiving world - fighting men trained to fight on both land and sea and willing to do so. Martin Archer is also the author of the acclaimed "Soldiers and Marines" saga - a series of action packed novels following the career of a young combat soldier who becomes a professional and stays on active duty to fight in various actual and future wars from Vietnam to the Middle East, Russia, China, and Israel.
