The helium supply and outlet lines of a rotating superconducting magnet can be arranged so that the self-pumping mechanism due re the centrifugal forces effects a pressure and temperature decrease in the rotor. Several parameters such as speed of rotation, diameter of the rotor, outlet pressure, and
