✦ Synopsis
Sorption measurements in the systems n-heptaneisaran carbon and benzene/Saran carbon have shown that the data can be well described over the entire range of data by the Dubinin-Astakhov equation IV= W, exp [ -(A/E)"]. Hereby, in both systems 2 < n < 3 was found. Because of the adjustability of the parameter n this equation has a broader applicability than the Dubinin-Radushkevich equation and, contrary to it. does not require the test as to pressure-depending validity ranges, provided data at high relative pressures are not taken into account.
