Abstract

NMR measurements are made on annealed copper sheets, for various orientations of the sample with respect to the external magnetic field. The second moment of the absorption curve, and the peak‐to‐peak amplitude of the derivative of the resonance signal vary with the orientation of the sample. The anisotropy can be explained by VAN VLECK's theory assuming a (100) [001]‐type cubic recrystallization texture. The measured values of the second moment are however, as in the case of powder samples and monocrystals, greater than those predicted by the theory.
