โฆ Synopsis
A method utilizing a liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry method based on a Frit-fast atom bombardment (FAB) interface was developed for the analysis of corticosteroids and corticosteroid esters. The method used a microbore octadecylsilane column with methanol + water as the mobile phase; 0.5% glycerol was incorporated into the mobile phase as the FAB matrix. Separation of a mixture containing five corticosteroids was achieved. Full-scan spectra were readily obtained for 20 ng of each steroid introduced into the instrument.
