✦ Synopsis

A series of folded plate structures, with a selection of plate intersection angle, is analysed by means of equivalent space-frameworks. Thus both membrane and flexural stiffnesses are taken into account. Distributions of membrane and flexural stresses are presented, as are deflected profiles, for the various angles. The accuracy of the space-framework idealisation is assessed from experimental data.
