[EN] The Bachelor's Thesis presented is a study and intervention process about a canvas painting, signed by the anagramist M.P. The canvas painting, dated 1851, has characteristics of the Valencian school from the mid-19th century, about the theme of ¿Epiphany¿ and executed with oil technique. A figurative analogy could be observed with the artworks of the artist Vicente López, thereby after a systematic search of graphic research, two references were found, a panel and a canvas painting belonging to private collections. Based on an organoleptic examination of the piece, iconographic, technical and state of conservation studies have been made. Also different photographic records and an in-depth bibliographical consulting have been implemented. According to the data gathered, it has been possible to implement an overview of the work of art and establish the intervention to be made, which focused on the complete cleaning of the varnish which impeded the appropriate interpretation of the artwork, as well as the reintegration of the small losses.
[ES] El trabajo Final de Grado que se presenta, es un estudio e intervención de una pintura sobre lienzo firmado por el anagramista M.P. El lienzo, datado en 1851, presenta características de la escuela valenciana de mediado del siglo XIX, bajo el tema de la Epifanía y se encuentra técnicamente ejecutada al óleo. Se han podido observar vínculos figurativos con la producción pictórica del artista Vicente López, así después de una búsqueda sistemática de fuentes gráficas, se han encontrado dos referentes, uno sobre tabla otro sobre lienzo pertenecientes a colecciones privadas. Partiendo de un examen organoléptico de la obra, se han realizado estudios iconográficos, técnicos y del estado de conservación. Asimismo, se han ejecutado distintos registros fotográficos y una consulta bibliográfica pormenorizada. Conforme los datos recopilados, se ha podido desarrollar una visión global de la obra y establecer así la intervención a realizar, que se ha centrado en la limpieza integral del barniz que impedía la correcta lectura de la pintura y el proceso de reintegración de pequeñas lagunas.
