Here is another exciting adventure featuring the British detective Sherlock Holmes. Arthur Conan Doyle is best known for his stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes. He was a prolific writer whose other works include science fiction stories, historical novels, plays, romances, poetry, and non-fiction. In 1894 The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes was published. In the first edition "The Adventure of the Cardboard Box," was not included although it appears in later editions. It is thought that Doyle did not include this story, because it included adultery and he felt that was not a suitable for his younger readers.
